Deity Microphones PR-2 32-Bit Float Pocket Audio Recorder with Lavalier Mic
Record a wedding reception, interview, vlog, or video without fear with the
Deity Microphones PR-2 Pocket 32-Bit Float Audio Recorder, a reliable and portable device that packs an impressive range of professional features in a small, pocket-friendly package. With the PR-2 recorder, you don't need to worry about RF interference or audio dropouts that can happen with wireless mic systems. Just plug in the included W.Lav Pro omnidirectional lavalier microphone, attach it to your subject, hide the recorder on their belt or in one of their pockets, and capture high-quality 32-bit float audio without clipping or distortion.
Stereo Locking 3.5mm Mic/Line Input
- The PR-2 Pocket Recorder comes equipped with a locking 3.5mm stereo mic / stereo line input.
- This feature allows for versatility in audio recording, which is essential for capturing sound in a variety of settings, such as tapping a mixing board for a feed at a wedding, directly recording a lavalier microphone, or even mounting it to a 3.5mm video mic for a portable shotgun setup.
24-Bit and 32-Bit Float Recording Formats
- PR-2 supports 24-bit (mono/stereo) and 32-bit float (mono) recording formats, which means that you can always achieve perfect gain staging.
- The 32-bit float is an excellent feature that ensures you won't clip your audio, even if you record too hot.
- This feature enables you to rework your lavalier's gain in the editing process?especially handy if you're recording in a live setting where you're not able to constantly monitor your levels.
Wireless Timecode Sync and Remote Control
- The Recorder can wirelessly sync timecode from the Deity TC-1 timecode generator boxes, which is a great feature for easily adding timecode metadata to your WAV files.
- This enables you to sync up your audio to your video footage in post more easily and significantly quicker, saving you time and money.
- Additionally, the PR-2 is remote-controlled via Bluetooth using the Sidus Audio app (iOS/Android/macOS), which allows for every setting to be adjusted from up to 250' away.
- This feature is especially useful if you need to make changes to your recording setup quickly, in situations where it is not convenient to access the recorder.
Professional Ergonomics
- The PR-2 Pocket Recorder also features Deity?s signature triple-tap locking method to prevent accidentally stopping recording when the recorder is in someone's pocket.
- The headphone output allows for live monitoring and checking the lavalier sound quality before recording, which is useful for ensuring that you capture high-quality audio.
- The device runs on 2 AA batteries with nearly 30 hours of battery life.
