Dana Dolly DDPPK1 Overview
Add a durable pipe track to your Dana Dolly system with this Portable Aluminum Pipe Kit. The kit includes six pipe sections that store in a portable carry bag.
Each schedule 80 pipe is made from durable aluminum, measures 39" in length and 1.25" in diameter, and features threading on each end to interconnect and create a longer track to support your original Dana Dolly. The carry bag features individual sleeves for each track and includes a removable shoulder strap and a carry handle.

Waste of money
I am really puzzled by the positive reviews here. I love my Dana Dolly, but this pipe kit is definitely NOT worth the money. For a tenth of the price you can get schedule 40/80 from a hardware store and it will give you zero bumps. On this portable pipe kit, however, serious bumps occur as the dolly carriage passes over each threaded joint in the track, which ruins your footage. Obviously, this defeats the whole point of having a dolly. I was really excited about the portability, but because of the bumps it creates the kit is useless to us in professional settings, sadly. Maybe useful to amateur vloggers using light DSLRs on wide angle lenses, but for cinema cameras on longer lenses, this track is just far too bumpy. Alas, this kit was backordered and arrived when I was out of town, so I couldn't test it before the return window closed. Product page says there is a limited 1-year warranty, but apparently bumpy track is not covered.

Solid and built like a tank
These pictures do not do this kit justice. These things are massively built and solid. Definitely worth the price.
expensive but worth it
As someone who travels a lot for work, these portable rails are totally worth the price because you have everything you need in one place and you don't have to worry about sourcing speed rail at your location.

Excellent value; well made
I'm really impressed with this kit, which allows me to build a nearly 10ft dolly track that still fits easily in the back of the hatchback. I will caution that it doesn't work well out of the box with the Kessler shuttle dolly. Something about the wheel compound perhaps, but the rail seams result in a footage-visible bump. Mike with Dana Dolly was awesome to communicate with and was upfront that while the Dana Dolly had no such issues with the seams, he'd had other Kessler users have the same issue I found. I was able to resolve my issues with some fine-grit sanding of the seam edges, and I'm really happy with the kit now. If you're using the Kessler shuttle dolly and money isn't a factor, consider paying more (a lot more) for the equivalent Kessler Kwik Rail kit. It'll probably work better out of the box.
Worth the investment
So much more practical than hardware store pipes....! fits in my car super easily.
