compagnon Element Reviews
I absolutely love it
I wanted a bag that could fit my Pentax 67 plus an extra lens, and my Nikonf2 plus an extra lens. This bag does a great job of carrying both and I still have plenty of space for my sx70 and other accessories.
Perfect balance of quality, price and practicality!
I am a very picky buyer and I have tried more than 20+ backpacks so far in the last 6 months. My search is over. I have finally found a bag that is designed really well and is made of top notch quality. While the price may be on the top end, you get what you pay for. This is a much better backpack than the new Shimoda Explore V2. Love this backpack.
Love the Backpack!
It is very well constructed backpack. I went on a 10 mile hike with it and absolutely loved the weight distribution.
Superb!
I was searching camera backpacks for the last few months. I narrowed my reach down to a couple of nice backpacks, but was disappointed that the camera modules were an additional cost. I came across the Element Backpack while watching some YouTube videos and decided that this might be the right Backpack for me. I purchased from and was immediately impressed with the quality and the functionality of the Backpack. Changing the layout is simple and additional separators are included. I've used the main section for my Sony A7iii with Sigma 100-400mm mounted and changed to the camera + 24-105mm for some of my other hiking trips. I was not too keen on the top expansion when I first received the Backpack, but it adds plenty of space for my jacket and packed lunches. Rain cover is also included which can be found in the hidden compartment...which took me a week to find! Great backpack for all your camera gear and can easily be converted for other uses. Very comfortable for long hikes and highly recommended!
Outstanding backpack but hard to find
I have been shopping for this bag for quite awhile when BH finally got one in. It was the color and size I wanted. I ordered it right away and for some reason it took a little longer than I expected to receive. The day I got it I checked their website and the bag again was backordered. I immediately opened the box up and went through the bag with a fine tooth comb. It is outstanding! Solid build, great materials used, excellent size and extremely comfortable. I am very happy with it and I may order the smaller size bag also. No regrets.
packs bigger than you expect.
First the quality of this bag is on a different level from most other camera bags I have owned. It feels lighter than the specs suggest and while it looks like a medium sized bag it swallowed up my gfx kit and had room to shove an AD400 in before I even started playing with the roll top. One point to note are the support strap clips in the rear opening, they do always get in the way of closing the zipper, small nit but it is there.
Nice Bag!
Its a nice bag! I just wish the velcro padded liners were a little longer as the dont really fully connect lengthwise inside the bag. not sure if thats making sense but otherwise its a really nice bag. in general more versatility as a non-photo bag would be nice.
