For discerning broadcasters, future-proof format integration is key and the Cobalt 9992-2DEC-4K-HEVC Software-Defined Broadcast Decoder is a state-of-the-art decoder card that keeps your workflow one step ahead of the curve. With full support for MPEG-2, MPEG-4 AVC (H.264), and HEVC (H.265), this industry-standard card module meets the most stringent requirements for today's broadcast applications, offering compatibility with existing openGear frames.
Two independent 1080p60 input streams, or a single UHD 4Kp60 input stream are supported, with UDP and RTP streaming protocols, which may be expanded to include others, such as RTMP and SRT with optional software license add-ons. The unit also offers 4:2:0 8-/10-bit decoding, upgradeable to 4:2:2 with an optional license, and multi-standard NTSC and PAL support for 480i, 576i, 720p, 1080i, 1080PsF, and UHD 4K video.
