With a blazing maximum output of 2075 lumens�bright enough for things like cave exploration, hunting, or search and rescue�the Coast XPH34R Rechargeable LED Headlamp will meet your hands-free lighting needs. Plug in the USB Type-C cable and charge the battery (inside or outside of the lamp), click the push-button switch, and enjoy a versatile range of settings and configurations. Easily alternate between Coast's Ultra View wide flood beam for area lighting and Bull's-Eye spot beam for distance viewing simply by twisting the bezel. The lamp rolls in its bracket so you can aim the beam up or down. The lamp can be detached from the headband for use as a compact right-angle handheld flashlight, and the magnet in the tail allows the light to be affixed to any metal surface. Hardhat clips and a silicone hardhat strap are included for using the headlamp with safety headgear. If recharging the battery isn't possible, you can power the lamp on three AAA batteries (included). As you might expect from a headlamp built for adventure, the XPH34R carries an IP54 water resistance rating, signifying it can withstand rain or splashing.

This is the one
This is the headlamp you want! It has the brightness needed for ANYTHING. When you don't need 2000 lumens you have the medium and low output to do the job while conserving battery capacity, and to make it more useful, you have the focus adjustment which puts exactly the amount of light desired where you need it. Add to that the battery is a standard 21700 protected cell making it among the safest and highest capacity batteries available. What could be better? Well, you do get a warranty and customer service that can't be beat from Coast.

I hot mine awhile back...broke the mou g forthe headlamp almost right away buy still ise the literature to this day...nest lite I've had in s long time and durable as hell....2 words....buy one
Slightly disappointed.
For what I bought this for (alligator hunting) the halo that surrounds the spot is not desirable. I would have preferred just a concentrated spot adjustment. Also the 2075 lumin turbo mode isn�t much brighter than the 1000 lumin setting. Other than that, a nice headlamp.

An amazing company with unbelievable customer service. I�m an airplane mechanic and needed a new headlamp. They were fast and efficient and I couldn�t believe how fast the new lamp got to my house! Customer for life.

This headlamp is top notch. I work in aviation as an ame so a good strength head lamp is needed and what I was looking for. This lamp with the different light mode settings is perfect. And to top it off the length of the battery is awesome!!
Hands down the best light I own
As a painter that does all kinds of apartments luxury and section 8 and what not, lighting can be an issue. Sometimes it brings out the previous painters screw ups or just shows how bad a wall really is.. ive been using this light for close to a year on a daily basis and it functions great still. I take it hunting and wherever I might need it. Well worth the investment. I might just get another one just because!
Quality Product.
This is mainly a review of the Coast XPH34R. However I do also somewhat review the Coast HL8 by comparison. Both of these products are quality items which I own. The HL8 is an earlier model with a lower light output. The advantage of this light is it will take AA batteries, and can be equipped with an optional rechargeable battery at extra cost. It is also in my opinion an more comfortable light to wear if you are not using a hard hat. The portion of the light that rests against your forehead seems larger, and the light is lighter. The brightness on the HL8 is easily adjustable with a 3 position rotary switch. This light is mainly a plastic build, but well made, and that may be why it is lighter. The XPH34R is primarily a metal product. It seems to be precision machined. It is designed to be used with Coasts lithium battery made for this product, and works well, is very bright. It is not as comfortable as the HL8 because it is heavier, and it appears that the area of the light that rests against the forehead is smaller, so more weight on a smaller area. This potential problem (not everyone will find it a problem) could be mitigated by using it with a hard hat. Coast provides a battery carrier which can be inserted in lieu of the rechargeable battery that takes AAA cells. I do not think AAA cells would last very long in this product, so you might want to get a spare rechargeable. Re the spare rechargeable: Coasts current offer appears to include an additional rechargeable battery for the XPH34R (as of 8/28/2022). This is a good deal. The light and one battery are cheaper on Amazon, but if you get 2 rechargeable batteries from Coast, that is a better deal. The description does not make this clear, so check with Coast before ordering. You adjust the brightness of this product by a series of button presses. The light starts in medium mode. To set on high, press the button twice. To set on low, 3 times. The turbo mode can be activated by holding the button down for two seconds. I actually prefer the mechanism of the HL8 for setting brightness, but unless you are changing this often, the button presses should work fine. I like both these products and rate them 5 stars. However, be aware that while the XPH34R is pitched as a 2075 lumen light, this is ONLY in turbo mode, which shuts off after a very short time, and goes to a lower brightness� I assume to protect the light from heat damage. I can not find this detail in the light specs or description, but it is in the Q & A on the Coast website re this product� so I would rate the description as a little misleading. It has been my experience that Coast honors its lifetime warranty. I am a bit of a Coast-a-holic, (I have lots of their products), and have replaced two of them under warranty, which has been hastle free, and one reason I keep coming back for more. I wish they made cars.
Best headlamp out there
Bought this light last year for mechanic work at night. I work on heavy equipment, beat it , banged it , dropped it off a lot of components, worked in rain snow grease oil. Still going like new .
