The Coast XPH30R Rechargeable LED Headlamp lets you aim up to 1000 lumens of light right where you need it: Roll the lamp in its headband bracket to tilt up or down, remove the lamp from the headband and use it as a compact right-angle handheld flashlight, or use the magnet in the tail of the light to affix the lamp to any metal surface. This versatile headlamp runs on the included rechargeable battery pack, but can also run on CR123A batteries if recharging isn't an option. Simply twist the bezel to change between a wide flood beam and a focused spot. Weighing just 2.7 ounces, the light won't cause neck strain or discomfort while wearing it, and it comes with an adjustable headband accented with reflective details for safety. The housing is rated IP54-equivalent, safe from splashing water.

COAST XPH30R Reviews
Great work light, plenty of light, long lasting.
Great for working on projects around the house at night or anytime you need to see better detail. It just needs more padding and perhaps more curvature of the base against one's forehead. I found myself putting it on over a padded headband.

Must have head lamp
This headlamp is great. I use them often. The "super-bright" mode is nice. It automatically switches out of this mode for efficiency after a minute or less-ish. I love that it is rechargeable but the ability to pull it off and use the flashlight, WITH A MAGNET is great for working on my toys or servicing my equipment.
Excellent hands free light.
Excellent device to provide light when your hands are needed for other purposes. Quality of the device and its output are excellent.
Great headlamp
This is a quality headlamp. I live on a farm and I walk my dogs every night before bed. On high this thing throws a bright beam and I can keep an eye on the dogs out in the field. Also I've used it several times working on my truck, I use the magnet on the end and stick it under the hood so I can see better without casting a shadow with my hands on what I'm working on. I have had more headlamps than I can count over the years, this is by far the best. It's solidly made and I don't need to worry about dropping and breaking it. I got the rechargeable battery and it gives me many hours of run time. Even though I used it every night I only charge it once a week. I am impressed with everything about this headlamp.

Coast has the best and products....and they stand behind their warranty unlike any other company I've bought anything from....they replaced my xph30r twice now and I will never purchase any type of light anywhere else
Best expensive headlamp I�ve used so far
I�ve recommended this head lamp to all my coworkers but it�s pretty expensive. That being said, this is the best all around expensive headlamp I�ve used so far, and I�ve used many. I�ve been exclusively Coast headlamps the past few years and this one is my favorite. It�s also the second most expensive coast headlamp I own. I also have a XPH34R but it�s a little too heavy to have on my hard hat, and this XPH30R lives on my hard hat. On to the review. This is almost perfect for my needs. It�s mounted on my hard hat with the included, rubber strap and a couple small zip ties. Lasts all week on medium which is bright enough for most tasks. Focus feature is nice. Rechargeable battery is my favorite thing ever! Brightness is great, although personally, I don�t know where the low setting would ever be useful for me, it�s nice to have four brightness to choose from. It is of a price that I feel like I have to put my helmet in the gang box so it will still be there every morning but it�s definitely worth it. One of my favorite features is that it�s one of the very few headlamps that can be angled up. Most headlamps are either straight ahead or various angles down to 45 degrees. Whereas this one (as well as the xph34r) can aim various degrees up as well! The magnet feature is nice as a task light but we use metal studs on my kids and I�ve found it mildly annoying when I�m trying to get in a tight space and I feel the magnet stick to a stud or ceiling wire. Weight is pretty good, ease of recharging is nice. Not being able to use basic batteries in a pinch is not so great, especially since the backup rechargeable battery has been sold out forever. Well thought out and we�ll built lamp. Very expensive but for my daily use it�s worth the money. Nice that it can pop off the mount and be used as a task light. My coworkers have been impressed with it as well and asked where I got it.
