Celestron 80 Overview
The straight-through viewing Ultima 80 20-60x80mm Spotting Scope Kit from Celestron features a prismatic spotting scope with an 80mm objective.
All the Ultima line are mated to an eyepiece and render views that are both right side up and laterally correct to the world, making them good for both terrestrial and celestial observing. All Ultimas are waterproof, making them more robust than ever before. Celestron surely is delivering exceptional value.
The Ultimas now offer the choice between 45° angled viewing or straight viewing as you prefer. Most users will prefer angled scopes because they are both simple to use for birds perched high above the viewer, as well as easily shared among users of differing heights. But some will prefer the straight-through viewing models, for these are much easier to use when hunting down the object of interest in the first place. Straight-viewing models are also usually a bit lighter, brighter, and less expensive. The choice is yours.
Certain Celestron products include their "No Fault" warranty coverage, which assures that your scope will be repaired or replaced at Celestron's option for as long as you own it, no questions asked! The only requirement on the user's end is to ship the scope (at the user's cost) to Celestron with a proof of purchase and a check or money order for $25 to cover the costs of inspection, shipping, and handling. This warranty service is valid only for USA and Canadian citizens purchasing from an authorized Celestron dealer.

Celestron 80 Reviews
You get what you pay for
The eye relief is basically non-existent. It is unusable with glasses. I even had to roll the rubber on the eyepiece flat for it to be usable without glasses. With those work arounds, and the fact I pretty much knew what I was getting for the price, the scope gets 3 stars. It would easily get 4 stars with as little as 1/4' more eye relief. There really is no excuse for how poor the eye relief is.
Disappointed
Scope purchased for bird and nature watching. The eye relief is poor, especially at zoom. Instructions say that a DSLR camera can be attached directly to the eyepiece with a t-adapter. I attached my Nikon D3300 and there was major vignetting at low power. At high power the photos were no brighter than the 60mm (different brand) scope that I own, which came with a photoadapter and has no vignetting. Scope was returned.
Good and Cheap
Very good scope by the price. Needs a strong tripod .
Ultima 80 spotting scope
I bought this based on reviews and glad I did now that I have it. It seems a little heavier than other spotting scopes in this price range and initially it seems to be better made. Image is very clear and easy to identify small objects at maximum magnification. I checked out other scopes at my local stores and am very happy I settled on this one. I can't wait to use this for hunting this fall.
Zoom not good
The spotting scope not zoomed in is ok not great but just ok, the eye relief for eyeglass users isn't very good, I found if you zoom in at all the view becomes out of focus and when you try to refocus the scope it never becomes sharp again, the chromatic aberration is very bad. You get what you pay for. I will be ordering a Vortex scope soon.
Best Bang For Your Buck
Scope is well made, great for target shooting, saves alot of walking back and forth to the target.
A lot of scope for the money
Scope works well and is clear. .223 holes at? 200 yards easy enough to see on cloudy day. Easy to adjust and focus
Great for a beginner digiscoper
I bought this to start digiscoping with a very limited budget. the ease of directly connecting a t mount adapter to the lens piece is a huge plus. i would definitely purchase this product again.
