Rock your field trip, lab, or classroom with the PentaView 5.0MP Cordless Digital Microscope from Celestron. This full-size digital microscope is built around its 5.0MP digital CMOS sensor, capable of capturing high-resolution color images and videos at 30 frames per second. You can view them on the built-in 4.3" color LCD TFT display and relay to an external monitor or a recording device. To make saving your findings and observations a seamless experience, the LCD module offers an easy-to-use control panel, a 32GB microSD memory slot, and a mini-USB data port. To provide vivid and crisp images, the opto-mechanics feature a 4-position nosepiece with five achromatic objectives (4x, 10x, 20x, 40x, and 60x), a top and bottom LED illumination system with adjustable brightness, a 0.65 NA condenser lens, and a 6-position filter/diaphragm wheel. The included 60x objective comes detached and can be easily installed instead of another objective.You are also empowered by the generous focusing range to ensure that no details will be left unseen. In addition to digital output, this scope features an AV video-out port.
This versatile device also does not cut short on comfort and ergonomics. It features an arched frame to serve as a carry handle and packs a battery compartment for four AA user-supplied batteries, which can provide 3 hours of uninterrupted cordless operation. For corded operation, the scope has a universal 100-240 VAC adapter (that works in most parts of the world) and wall plugs for the USA, UK, Europe, and Australia. To provide enough room for movement, its sturdy metal mechanical 3.5 x 3.5" stage offers Vernier control for motion in two dimensions and a bracket for holding your specimen slides. For sharing views with your team or students, the display head can rotate 180°. Using the fine and coarse focusing knobs, it allows you to achieve optimal focusing positions. The microscope also ships with other multiple lab accessories that you will find quite handy in your explorations and studies.

Excellent!
Item was shipped fast and promptly. The microscopes works as advertised. You will need to buy blank slides. The lcd screen works much better than standard eye pieces. It is very lightweight and does not take up much space in your home. Don't believe all the negative reviews about this scope. You can see all kinds of living organisms in one drop of pond water. The attached images are some kind of egg sack. (Not sure what it is) that I found in a drop of pond water. Photos were taken from the Pentaview. You can also record video. Comes with a 4 GB SD memory card.
Horrible Product
Concept was just what I wanted. The LCD touch screen from which you operate the scope only lit up one time. That was it. Never made one image with it.

I am using this to take pictures of spores and Lepidoptera eggs. 40x and lower works great. 60x does not work well and not enough top light.
