Celestron 93665 Overview
Designed for their NexStar 6/8SE and Evolution single-fork alt-az mounts, Celestron's EQ Wedge enables beginner and intermediate users to do long-exposure astrophotography and autoguiding by tilting the telescope's azimuth into an equatorial platform allowing it to track an arc around the polar axis. Alt-Az tracking keeps objects centered, but a long enough exposure will reveal they rotate in the field of view. Adding a wedge allows the mount to track equatorially, eliminating field rotation. It features simple installation procedures, tool-less operation, a latitude adjustment screw with easy-to-read scale, and an integrated bubble level.

Easy to use but annoying to transport
The wedge is very easy to use after initial setup. I find that it allows 2 minute autoguided exposures when the 8 inch SCT is reduced by .65x. My gripe is that it is annoying to transport since it doesn't lie flat and doesn't fit in the Celestron case for the Evolution OTA+mount.
Heavy wedge for Nex 8
This works, but there are complications that one has to learn about plate solving to really understand equatorial mounts. This is heavy if you are transporting your OTA, this adds considerable weight.
A good hack, but didn't work.
I tried it with Nextstar 8se and starsense. Couldn't align in the first step itself. Tried multiple times. Would have been a good economic option if it worked out, but it is too much work and I still didn't quite get anywhere with it. I might give it a try again one of these days in a different area with a different alignment option . I have a huge oak tree in southern part of my backyard and that maybe an issue as starsense cannot find a good alignment. Everything works like a charm in my Alt-AZ setup. So I am guessing issue is related to starsense and the wedge.
Celestron Wedge Installation
Just received it today and put it together in a few minutes, but I have not had a chance to use it yet.... To many clouds Nice a sturdy like a Sherman Tank and easy to set up.
Solid Wedge
This wedge is metal and is very solid. It does its purpose of allowing you to put your alt az telescope into an equitorial mount.
Mixed feelings so far
I postponed the purchase of this wedge until I felt I could use it for long photo exposures. I was surprised by the heavy weight, it feels like it doubled the weight of my 6SE. Assembling was not easy either, the central screw prevented the plate from seating properly in the tripod base and it took me a big effort to unscrew it - I was ready to return it. I have not been able to take a good one minute photo yet, the polar alignment has a significant learning curve. Hope I will master it eventually.

Good value for money
I'm enjoying the wedge very much. I've only had one good imaging night since I got it, but already jumped to 30 seconds exposures with my 6se. It also works very well with the Celestron ASPA. I recommend this for anyone whose not ready to move to full equatorial mount yet.
