Offered here in a 25-pack, this 5 x 7" Baryta Photographique II Matte Paper from Canson Infinity offers you the ability to create a photograph with the true look and feel of a traditional darkroom print. It features a 100% barium sulphate layer, which offers exceptional contrast and detail as well as a wide color gamut. The paper also provides a high D-Max to produce black and white images with depth and clarity and color images with vibrancy and intensity. Additionally, the combination of the 100% alpha-cellulose base and the matte finish gives the paper a sensual and soft feel to the touch.

great paper
love the feel and look of this paper. Prints look super in both black and white and color. I recommend anyone looking to duplicate traditional wet chemistry paper to try.
A major disappointment.
My go to paper is Canson Baryta Photographique, was I, now II. I was excited to try Baryta Photographique II Matt. It's flat, dull with no pop or depth. Narrow tonal range. Compared prints with Epson Hot Press Natural, Velvet Fine Art and a few Hahnemuhle papers. This paper was just DOA. A major disappointment.
Interesting fine art paper
As far as I aware this is the only mat baryta paper. It is completely non-reflective, completely smooth. Has a nice stiffness so easy to handle. Use white cotton gloves, of course! I printed several B&W images I have printed before and one thing I did notice is that they were not quite as sharp on my my other baryta papers, or even other mat papers, such as Canson Rag Photographique. So, while I was excited when I read about this new paper I am not sure it fills a need, given my experience of other papers. But I congratulate Canson on creating a new, one of a kind fine art paper.
