Great home office printer
Great printer for the home office-easy set up, works well!
I don't like it
I bought this for my summer home for occasional printing, copying, and scanning. I wanted something small and inexpensive. The quality of copy and scanning is good, no complaint, BUT gee it is difficult to set up. It requires internet access to set up, to get the manual, etc. I would not recommend this printer unless you have a lot of patience.
Worked for about 2 months
Sadly (and this is my third or fourth Canon printer), the printer now jams paper when feeding either from the cassette or the rear feed. It's the first Canon printer (the first Canon product, actually, since I also use Canon cameras) that disappointed me.
More than adequate for daily tasks
My default printer is a Brother b&w laser, but sometimes an inkjet is needed for its color. My 5yearold Epson was jamming on photopaper, the wireless was iffy, and the scan feature never worked with my Macs, so this looked good. I have not copied or scanned, so four stars for now, but plain paper and photo paper work just fine. WiFi setup on two Macs and a PC was the easiest I've ever had. Photo colors are fine for snapshots.
Easy to Use
Once i got all the blips and blops fixed by Canon, great customer service, the printer worked(s) beautifully. I am very happy, this is my first Canon, i have always bought Epson, but I am glad I now have a Canon
