Lightweight and portable, the Canon MK5000 Cable ID Printer is designed for productivity while on location at work sites. Engineered to deliver speed, productivity, versatility, and mobility, the MK5000 printer is ideal for precise character printing onto a wide range of media, including tubes (such as heat shrink and flat tubes), label tapes, and plastic plates. It is designed to be used on-site at locations, such as construction sites, electrical facilities, factory assembly lines, data centers, and server rooms. The MK5000 can be used in industries, such as construction, manufacturing, and information and communications technology, for applications including automotive, aerospace, and medical device manufacturing, quality management, and equipment maintenance.
Portable and Easy to Use
The MK5000's user-friendly design includes a built-in QWERTY-layout keyboard, designed to help ensure both comfort and efficiency. Its sturdy integrated handle and lightweight form factor help make it easy to take to job sites. In addition, the Panasonic eneloop rechargeable AA batteries (not included, sold separately) allow you to keep the printer running when field conditions limit the availability of AC power. The MK5000 printer setup menus are also displayed on a high contrast backlit LCD display, ideal for working in dimly lit environments.
High Performance and Productivity
The MK5000 printer has three selectable speeds and can print up to 55 pieces per minute, or up to 40 mm/ sec. Designed with an increased cut speed and internal memory that can store character sets and folders to print easily in at the field, the MK5000 can helps improve productivity. With PC connectivity, the MK5000 also offers simultaneous, distributed printing to multiple printers, which can help save time for large quantity print jobs. The serial printing feature also allows for automatic sequential number or letter printing. The printer control panel and menus allow users to adjust settings, such as automatic full and half cut, as well as depth and cutting speed control, which is convenient for large projects.
High Print Quality and Media Support
The MK5000 printer is designed to produce professional-looking printed materials, with up to 300 dpi resolution, making the text and characters look sharp, clear, and crisp. It can also print characters horizontally or vertically, with up to three lines of text. The printer also has fine pitch adjustment and uses thermal transfer ribbon printing, in black or white, to help improve output accuracy. In addition, the MK5000 printer supports up to 10 mm diameter rounded and flat tube media, as well as labels, and plastic plates.
