It allows the camera to slide back and forth on the mount adapter baseplate which features a 15mm dual-rod clamp that supports LWS rod support systems. The bottom of the baseplate features 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-20 threads so the adapter can be directly mounted onto a tripod, dolly, or other devices.
