Description
CAD MXU2 Overview
When an ultracompact form factor and uncomplicated design are your main concerns, look no further than the MXU2 Analog Mixer with USB from CAD, a simple yet versatile 2-channel mixer that's ideal for podcasting, home recording, and live applications. While the mixer sports an all-analog signal path, it also includes a handy USB audio interface for supporting two-track recording at 16-bit / 48 kHz.
Inputs include two XLR-1/4" combo inputs with selectable +48V phantom power and optional Hi-Z instrument recording modes and a 3.5mm mic input for 3V condensers, while outputs include a stereo 3.5mm headphone jack and two 1/4" TRS outputs that form a stereo pair. The mixer provides simple 2-segment LEDs for monitoring signal and peaks on each channel, and provides knob level control for each channel, the headphone output, and the main mix. This mixer can be completely USB bus powered and requires no external drivers when used with macOS or Windows computers.
