Set up your remotely controlled pan/tilt head with power options and remote extension using this MP101, MP6VA L-Series Plate, 5VUSB & MPDTAP D-Tap Cables, PS260 + RE20 Kit from Bescor. The kit includes the MP101 motorized pan/tilt head, a wired remote control, a 20' remote extension cable, an MPDTAP D-Tap power adapter cable, an MP6VA L-series/NP-F battery adapter plate, a 5VUSB USB adapter cable, and a PS260 AC power adapter. The included AC, DC, and battery power components offer extended power options for long shooting days.
The Bescor MP-101 Motorized Pan & Tilt Head attaches between a tripod and camera and enables remote panning and tilting of the camera. Two independent motors smoothly operate horizontal and vertical motion at adjustable speeds. The head supports payloads up to 6 lb. The two mounting points are the 1/4"-20 female threads underneath and the 1/4"-20 camera mounting screw with registration pin on top. All tripods and cameras are compatible.
An Auto Pan Mode allows for continuous panning motion, and a switch selector lets you assign end points at 45°, 90°, or 340°. The maximum horizontal angle is ±170 degrees, and the maximum vertical angle is ±15 degrees. This head can power by four AA batteries, the Bescor PS-260 AC power supply, or a Bescor 90-645 external battery, all sold separately.

The 5' long D-Tap Male to 2.1mm Power Cable from Bescor connects to a D-Tap power source and allows you to power your Bescor MP101 motorized pan/tilt head. The cable is regulated, stepping down the power from 14.4 to 6 VDC accepted by the MP101.
Power your MP-101 pan/tilt head using an optional L-series battery using this MP6VA L-Series 6V Battery Adapter Plate from Bescor. The MP6VA is another power option for the Bescor MP-101 to ensure the pan/tilt head can operate for long shoot times. The adapter features a battery plate for an NP-F/L-series battery, and it provides 6V regulated power to the MP-101.
L-series battery
The Bescor PS-260 AC Power Supply for MP-101 Motorized Pan Head features a 120-240VAC, 60/50Hz input and 6VDC, 700mA output. It can be used worldwide with an appropriate adapter, sold separately.
The Bescor 5V USB to 8V Power Converter for DC Coupler/Dummy Batteries features a USB Type-A connector that plugs into any 5 VDC USB port and provides 8 VDC power output via a 2.1mm coaxial connector. The cable is power-regulated and the output voltage is well suited for powering cameras that use a 7.4 VDC battery. The coaxial/barrel power connector allows you to connect an optional DC coupler/dummy battery to the cable to provide power to your DSLR or mirrorless camera.
The Bescor RE-20 extension affords 20' (609.6 cm) of additional separation from the MP-101 remote pan head to its remote control.

Works as expected. I recommend it!
This unit is solid. I recommend it! It moves a little slow but it gets the job done. I have two and plan on adding more. I used to use gimbals for each video source but they give out after an hour, even with power plugged in. The Gimbals move faster but are incredibly unreliable. Bescor's are incredibly reliable.
Does what I needed, not good for higher-end production
This won't eliminate the need to have a person behind the camera for higher-end productions, but for cameras that have built-in stabilization it does fine. The motion is a bit jerky but it still let me reposition the camera while manning the production desk. It would be better if it automatically ramped up and down with movements, but the battery life is very good. I basically ran a three-day conference on one set of rechargeable AA's and never had an issue.
Pan head
A great unit, allow to pan and tilt our camcorder while recording our Church services as the pastor moves around the platform or goes down to congregation level. Highly recommend this to anyone doing any kind of production with movement.

Great Way to Add an Additional Camera for Live Production
As a medium-sized church, we can never find enough camera operators. So by using this to control the third camera, along with a LANC extension cord and control, our switcher operator can easily change shots to improve production values. The pan/tilt is smooth and the speed control of the pan/tilt works fairly well, not perfect, but not bad. Everyone is very pleased with the product.
Tilt Did Not Work!
New, out of the box the tilt did not work at all. The motor doesn't even appear or sound to be attempting to tilt the head. This was a waste of money!! I wish I could return/exchange it.
