R7 problem solved with this.
I do long-run (overnight) exposures. The lack of a battery grip on the Canon R7 could have been a deal breaker. It turns out this was a better solution: you can run the camera off the AC for as long as needed. Also, this lets you charge the battery in camera when not shooting. This is a great convenience, and at a better price than Canon's equivalent.
Works fine at 1/2 the price
Works fine, allows me to charge battery in camera, and to run camera without draining battery. Quite happy with this.
