B+W Master 007 Clear Overview
The 49mm MRC MASTER 007 Clear Filter from B+W protects the front of your lens against the elements such as sand, dust, fingerprints, and splashing water. The filter is fully color-neutral and highly transparent. Featuring B+W's MRC nano coating, it also has an extremely low reflection. The optical information remains unaffected when it reaches the image sensor.
The coating reduces the adhesion tendency of dirt particles and water droplets. With MRC nano coating, a water droplet remains practically spherical. It rolls over the surface, and a first-rate dirt- and water-repellent effect occurs.

My favourite brand when it comes to filters.
My favourite brand when it comes to filters. I've been using B+W forever and I have never had any problem. The quality is much better than other products which comes with a bit of premium pricing but it worths every penny.
Great quality filters
I buy one of these for all my lenses. They are top quality. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. I use them for protection for my high end lenses and they work great. For some lenses that I don't use in inclement weather I will save a bit of $ and buy the B+W MRC Basic 007 filters but the Master ones have a better coating to repeal liquids (I shoot a lot in the rain). Only reason I stopped giving these a 5 start rating is they don't come in a plastic case anymore and instead come in a bag. This is fine by me except they are always kinda smudgy and dusty when I open them when they arrive brand new and need to be cleaned before mounting them on the lens. Not a huge deal, but gets a bit annoying.

Great filter!
I have all my lenses with B+W filters to protect the glass. My only problem is that since B+W changed to the Master series all their lenses come in a pouch which promotes dust on the filter. B+W should either go back to supplying plastic cases or come up with a better solution for storing their filters.

Good filter however it seems it easily attracts dusts. I also whish BW can provide a hard case.
