Ideal for ENG and vlogs as well as any outdoor or field video applications, the Auray WSS-RVMGII windbuster is a dual-layer fur windscreen that's custom-tailored to fit a Rode VideoMic GO II shotgun microphone without impeding access to its audio and USB ports. It replaces the mic's existing foam windscreen and performs best when recording in light breezes (4 to 25 mph). This windbuster substantially reduces disruptive wind noise by up to 40 dB with only minimal high-frequency loss.
The simulated rabbit-fur outer layer works in tandem with the open-cell, foam-matrix interior to protect the microphone element from air bursts without muffling the sound. Plus, a rubber gasket enables a snug, airtight fit over your microphone to provide extra protection against wind noise. The windbuster also shields your VideoMic GO II from dust, moisture, and UV damage�all issues commonly encountered during outdoor shoots.
