Works for HS8 monitors ... but at what cost?
I bought these for a pair of Yamaha HS8 monitors to reclaim desk space. The plate size is almost a perfect fit-exact width and maybe a 1/4 rear hang when flush against the plate lip. After few weeks of usage the stands function as intended and haven't moved (and I've been looking). Nonetheless, I have a general uneasiness and there's room for improvement. While the HS8s are well under the supported weight limit, they feel heavy off the ground. It's difficult not to cringe as you balance them into position and tighten the screws on the plastic joints. I can't help checking that the plate hasn't tilted overnight-and so far it hasn't, but never something I thought about before. But they work and I'm keeping them. There aren't a lot of options out there and I really need the desk space. Just account for the anxiety tax at checkout.

2 Inch Capacity
The clamps to not open to 2.5 inches like the description say, only 2 inches. That's confirmed by the instructions. The stands themselves do the job and seem well built. I've had them set up for about 2 weeks and it's nice to free up the desk space my speakers used to take up. Nice addition to the home edit suite.
Wrong Size in Product Description, Only Fit 2 Desk
I have a custom desk that is 2.25 inches thick and bought these to use on it. The description says it'll work up to 2.5 inches but they don't fit and the actual included instructions say only up to 2 inches. They seem nice and I can cut some notches to make them work on my desk, it's just odd that the product description does not match the actual product specs.
Excellent stands
I love these desk stands. The build quality is great, they are easy to setup and adjust, and they save desk space. I know best practice is to have monitors on dedicated floor stands, but for a space saving home solution which still gets nice sound, these are excellent.
