Featuring a 7" Full HD touchscreen with Xbox-style gamepad controls and buttons, this handheld system comes ready to play titles from Xbox Game Pass, Steam, and other Windows 11 platforms.

Inside is an AMD Ryzen Z2 A quad-core processor with a 2.8 GHz base speed that can reach 3.8 GHz. There is also 16GB of onboard LPDDR5x of 6400 MT/s memory and a 512GB M.2 PCIe SSD that allows you to quickly load games and applications.

Access a variety of titles and online game stores. Games that are pre-tested through the handheld compatibility program are optimized for the Ally and will work with few to no further adjustments. You can increase the ROG Xbox Ally's storage by inserting a separately purchased UHS-II microSD memory card into the reader slot or by installing a new M.2 NVMe PCIe 2280 SSD. You can also stream games from Xbox Game Pass or other cloud-based services, Xbox Remote Play compatible consoles, and other PC gaming platforms.

Enjoy bright, responsive visuals with the glossy 7" 1920 x 1080 resolution Full HD touchscreen display. Powered by AMD Radeon graphics, it delivers smooth visuals with a 120 Hz refresh rate while AMD FreeSync Premium technology eliminates screen tearing and stuttering from fast action scenes. The ROG Xbox Ally can also take advantage of Radeon software technologies such as AFMF for smoother gameplay with compatible titles.

The screen is complemented by a Dolby Atmos amplified stereo speaker system and built-in microphone array that uses AI noise-cancellation to keep you connected with teammates.

The Ally is optimized for a full-screen Xbox console-like experience. Its button layout, thumbsticks, and contoured grip was inspired by an Xbox controller. Pressing the dedicated Xbox button brings up the Game Bar, which allows you to see system stats, capture gameplay, and chat with friends. Use the Command Center app to adjust the settings.

Additionally, the ASUS Aura Sync RGB lighting accents may be customized to match your mood or game. You can adjust the Ally's performance settings for smoother gameplay or get the most out of the 60 Wh battery.

Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) support allows you to connect to compatible networks for low-latency online gaming experiences. Both of the two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports support DisplayPort 1.4 and Power Delivery 3.0. You can place the Ally on its included stand and link it to a display with a separately purchased cable for a console-like experience. Plug a headset into the 3.5mm jack or pair it with a Bluetooth device for clear communications.

Designed for travel, the cooling system features a Zero Gravity thermal system that helps to maintain efficient performance, even when the system is tilted sideways or held upside down.

With Windows 11 preinstalled, the ROG Xbox Ally can do more than play games. Switch to desktop mode to browse the internet, watch videos, and more, using Windows applications. The thumbstick controller may be used to move the mouse cursor and you can bring up a virtual touch keyboard to input information.
