The Z790 chipset uses an LGA 1700 socket made for Intel 12th, 13th, and 14th gen CPUs. With four SATA III, five M.2 slots, and two dual-channel DDR5 RAM slots, this motherboard delivers fast load times and efficient multitasking. Two PCIe 5.0 x16 and two PCIe 4.0 x4 slots are available for network and graphics cards. This motherboard can connect wirelessly using Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) for networks and Bluetooth 5.4 for peripherals and accessories. Additionally, there are several USB-C and USB-A ports for wired peripherals. ROG SupremeFX ALC4080 7.1 audio provides surround sound while gaming so you can accurately pinpoint sounds in-game.

Power Design
A teamed power stage design improves thermal headroom through low RDSON that reduces switching and conduction losses. Additionally, Dual ProCool connectors ensure a reliably snug connection to the EPS 12V power lines. Input and output filtering is provided by solid-polymer capacitors rated to last thousands of hours at high operating temperatures.
Random Access Memory
With a 96GB ceiling for available DDR5 RAM capacity, the two dual-channel DIMM slots support up to 5600 MHz normally or 8400 MHz speeds while overclocking.
