Enhance your business by building a compact powerful system using the PRIME H610M-A D4-CSM Micro-ATX Motherboard from ASUS. Designed for IT professionals and businesses who want custom performance, this micro-ATX motherboard is powered by the Intel H610 chipset and supports processors that use the LGA 1700 socket, including 12th generation Intel Core CPUs. This motherboard takes full advantage of the PCIe 4.0 data bandwidth to handle demanding tasks such as video editing.
Install up to 64GB of dual-channel DDR4 memory across two memory slots. Four SATA III storage drives can be installed alongside two M.2 SSDs, which support RAID 0, 1, 5, or 10 configuration. A dedicated graphics card can be installed into the PCIe 4.0 x16 slot. Alternatively, displays can be connected to the motherboard's HDMI, DisplayPort, and VGA ports to take advantage of the processor's integrated graphics. An additional PCIe 3.0 x1 slot is available for compatible expansion cards. USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports allow you to transfer data from compatible peripherals at up to 10 Gb/s while additional USB 2.0 ports allow you to connect lower-powered peripherals such as keyboards and mice. Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-Bit) is required to take advantage of all the motherboard's features.
All-Around Energy Efficiency
The Energy Processing Unit (EPU) automatically optimizes power consumption and maximizes energy savings with Away mode, a smart setting that creates an energy-saving scenario by shutting down unused I/O controllers.
The Prime 600 series of motherboards offer comprehensive control over system fans via the included Fan Xpert 2+ software. Auto-Tuning mode intelligently configures all parameters with a single click.
Precise Digital Power Control
The Digi+ voltage-regulator module (VRM) delivers real-time control over voltage droop, automatically switching frequency and power-efficiency settings. It also allows you to fine-tune your CPU for stability and performance.
An intuitive advanced mode offered via the UEFI lets you take complete control. A built-in search feature makes it easy to find options, and various advanced functions let you intelligently make nuanced adjustments so you can dial in performance just the way you want.
EZ mode displays vital settings and stats and also offers guided wizards, drag-and-drop functionality, and one-click application of important settings.
VRM Heatsink and Thermal Pad
VRM heatsink and thermal pad improve heat transfer from the MOSFETs and chokes for better cooling performance.
Each header can dynamically reference three thermal sensors. Fan Xpert 2+ allows you to map the temperature of supported ASUS graphics cards to optimize cooling for GPU- and CPU-intensive tasks. A dedicated integrated circuit protects each fan header from overheating and current, while each onboard header supports auto-detection of PWM or DC fans.
The Prime H610M-A D4-CSM offers two M.2 slots that support data-transfer speeds of up to 32 Gb/s via PCIe 3.0, enabling quicker boot-up and app load times with OS or application drives.
Prime H610 series motherboards are designed specifically for 12th Generation Intel Core CPUs and offer PCIe 4.0 connectivity for the latest GPUs. The wide bandwidth and superfast transmission speeds allow you to create feature-rich builds that can handle high loads effortlessly.
Numerous USB ports support high-end rigs loaded with peripherals, including rear-panel USB Type-A ports with fast USB 3.2 Gen 2 for transmission speeds of up to 10 Gb/s.
Featuring an exclusive circuit design with built-in voltage regulators to protect your motherboard from damage caused by unexpected high-level voltages from unstable or inferior power supplies.
DRAM Overcurrent Protection
Onboard resettable fuses prevent overcurrent and short-circuit damage. This extends beyond I/O ports to DRAM to safeguard the lifespan of your system and connected devices.
Intel I129-V Gigabit Ethernet reduces CPU overhead and offers high TCP and UDP throughput for faster, smoother data transfer.
ASUS LANGuard is a hardware-level network protection feature that integrates advanced signal-coupling technology and premium anti-EMI surface-mounted capacitors to improve throughput and ensure a more reliable connection.
Addressable Gen 2 Headers
Three addressable Gen 2 headers are capable of detecting the number of LEDs on second-gen addressable RGB devices, allowing the software to automatically tailor lighting effects to specific devices. The new headers also offer backward-compatibility with existing Aura RGB gear.
Aura Sync technology allows you to connect, customize, and control lighting equipment such as RGB LEDs and light strips on the onboard RGB headers. You can choose from a variety of lighting presets that include Static, Strobe, and Color Cycle. These presets can be synchronized with Aura Sync-compatible peripherals such as keyboards, mice, monitors, and more.
ASUS Armoury Crate is a suite of management software for system customization. It includes ASUS Aura Sync RGB lighting control, keyboard and mouse preferences, fan speed control, and more.
The Q-LED Core display produces light patterns by power LED during the Power-On Self-Test (POST) that can help users troubleshoot potential issues.
SafeSlot Core is the ASUS-exclusive PCIe slot. Featuring a fortified design that's anchored to the motherboard by a special hook, SafeSlot Core provides 1.6x stronger retention and 1.3x greater shearing resistance than standard expansion slots.
Corrosion-resistant stainless-steel back I/O panels bonded with chromium oxide have a lifespan that's three times longer than ordinary panels.

ASUS H610M-A D4-CSM Reviews
How much do you really need?

Until this build I'd always got the best of the best--high end motherboards, full size ATX cases, etc. But in the end if you're not overclocking or building an RGB showcase you don't need much. Yes, only two ram slots but 32GB is affordable now. One PCI-E expansion slot which I use for a soundcard--I do like my music. 2 NVME drives, one for the OS and one for programs. Otherwise it fits the bill and gets things done.
