ARX MSX 48 DS Overview
The ARX MSX 48 DS is a professional-grade passive microphone/line splitter designed to meet the evolving demands of modern audio production environments. Built on the same foundation as the MSX 48, the MSX 48 DS offers 16 channels of ultralow noise, transformer-isolated splitting?now with space-saving D-Sub Monitor and Aux outputs for streamlined integration in complex systems.
Passive Design, Professional Performance
The MSX 48 DS requires no power and supports both low-level microphone and high-level line signals with equal fidelity. Each input channel provides a direct hardwired Main/FOH output (phantom power compatible), along with two transformer-isolated splits: a Monitor split and an Auxiliary split?delivered via industry-standard 25-pin D-Sub connectors on the rear panel.
Transformer-Isolated Signal Path
Internally, high-performance transformers provide true galvanic isolation on all Monitor and Auxiliary outputs. Each output uses its own transformer winding to prevent signal interaction and maintain clean, stable audio distribution across multiple destinations.
Rugged Build and Installation Flexibility
The MSX 48 DS is housed in a durable, all-steel chassis that provides excellent shielding against electromagnetic interference. Inputs and Main outputs use high-grade Amphenol XLR connectors with gold-plated pins, while D-Sub connectors reduce space requirements and simplify rack-based wiring in large installations. A front-panel labeling strip and a rear chassis ground terminal are included for ease of setup.
