The ARX BSX 16 is a single-channel, 16-way active microphone/line splitter purpose-built for demanding broadcast and ENG environments. Designed to accommodate dual microphone setups?such as dual lecterns?the BSX 16 features two electronically balanced inputs, each with individual gain and level controls. Its intuitive layout and ultralow-noise design ensure professional-grade performance in press feeds, system distribution, and live broadcast applications.
Flexible Output Configuration
Each of the 16 transformer-isolated outputs delivers clean, interference-free signal splitting. Outputs 1-8 operate at line level, while outputs 9-16 are switchable between mic or line level, providing flexible output configuration for a wide range of systems. A rear-panel XLR PA output and dual front-panel loop outputs allow for signal pass-through to additional devices or a mixing console.
Monitoring and Metering
The BSX 16 includes built-in headphone monitoring with a dedicated pre-fade level control, giving users confidence in signal quality before the feed. LED output metering provides visual feedback at -40, 0, and +6 dB levels for quick reference during setup and operation.
Silent and Reliable Power Handling
Phantom power is engaged silently via ARX's proprietary 'SilentSwitch' circuitry, minimizing unwanted noise during activation. A -20 dB input pad switch accommodates high-level input signals, while precision internal RF filtering and high common mode rejection ratio (CMRR) ensure optimal performance in complex environments.
