This pack of 24 x 30" Warm White 4-Ply 100% Museum Board from Archival Methods contains 15 boards that are 1/16" thick. The board is designed for matting, mounting and preservation of fine prints, precious documents, as well as for traditional and digital photography. The 4-ply thickness is ideal for window mats and mat backing, creates a separation between artwork and glazing, and provides a flat, supportive backing.
The boards are acid- and lignin-free and use alkaline or neutral sizing. No brightening agents are used and no yellow cast is present. All boards are buffered with calcium carbonate to ensure that a polluted environment won't cause paper's pH value to decrease with age.
- Made from 100% Cotton fiber pulp (99% Alpha Cellulose). Does not contain any post consumer waste recycled pulp. Paper is free of metal particles, waxes, plasticizers and residual bleach peroxide. Sulfur content is less than 0.0008% reducible sulfur. Iron content does not exceed 150 ppm and copper does not exceed 6 ppm. No optical brightening agents are used in the pulp
- Alkaline sizing is used for both internal and external sizing. No alum is used in the manufacturing process
- Calcium carbonate buffered with 2 to 3% alkaline reserve
