This case is black with white lining and the 16.5 x 20.5 x 2.5" interior holds up to 24 4/2-ply, 19 4/4-ply, or 34 2/2-ply window/mats. For confident stacking, this strong case is constructed with low-resin basswood sides and spine, and a black, acrylic-coated cloth exterior. The interior lining is acid- and lignin-free card stock. The hinged, lay-flat design provides easy-access to contents. Users will appreciate the latch closure, nickel-plated hardware, and metal 3 x 1.25" label holder.
- Case top and bottom is Kappa binder's board (0.1), a bookmaking board with no glue between layers
- Lined with 10-point acid-and lignin-free card stock

- Covered in book binding cloth with a moisture-resistant, 100% aqueous acrylic coating

Nice Case
My first solander container. Nice and sturdy. Like that the cover folds all the way flat when opening. Would purchase again if I need another. Fast shipping by .
Very nice, excellent product, but...
My sole complaint on this museum case is that it's not as convenient and practical as the earlier model Solander Museum Case which was not only excellent for storage, but also incorporated metal corners and a nice suitcase handle for transport. One would hope that such benefits would at least be optional at an adjusted price.
The standard
We have a collection of Japanese prints which we store in Solander boxes. We used to get them from University Products in Holyoke, but they don't seem to carry them anymore. The box is the same (Archival Methods) and the service/packaging/delivery from were just fine.
