ANALOG DEVICES MAX13083EESD+ Transceiver RS422, RS485, 4.5V-5.5V supply, 1 Driver, NSOIC-14

The MAX13083EESD+ is a ±15KV ESD protected, fail-safe, hot swap, +5V RS485/RS422 transceiver in 14 pin NSOIC package. The fail-safe circuitry in this device features a logic high receiver output when receiver input is open or shorted. The receiver outputs a logic high if all transmitters on a terminated bus are disabled (high impedance) and a hot swap capability to eliminate false transitions on the bus during power-up or hot insertion. This device has slew rate limited drivers but allow transmit speed up to 500Kbps. It has a 1/8 unit load receiver input impedance which allows up to 256 transceivers on the bus.
