ANALOG DEVICES LTC3025IDC-2#TRMPBF LDO Voltage Regulator, Fixed, 1.4 to 5.5V in, 85mV Drop, 1.2V / 0.5A Out, DFN-EP-6, -40 to 125 °C

LTC3025IDC-2#TRMPBF is a micropower, VLDO� (very low dropout) linear regulator capable of operating from input voltages as low as 0.9V. This device can supply 500mA of output current with a typical dropout voltage of only 85mV. A BIAS supply is required to operate the internal reference and LDO circuitry, while output current is sourced directly from the IN supply for high-efficiency regulation. The device's low quiescent current makes it an ideal choice for battery-powered systems. In 3-cell NiMH and single-cell Li-Ion applications, the BIAS voltage can be directly supplied from the battery, while the input can be provided by a high-efficiency buck regulator, offering a high-efficiency, low-noise output. Applications for this regulator include low-power handheld devices, low-voltage logic supplies, DSP power supplies, cellular phones, portable electronic equipment, handheld medical instruments, and post-regulator for switching supply noise rejection.

• 80µVRMS typical output voltage noise at (f = 10Hz to 100KHz, IOUT = 300mA)
• VIN to VOUT dropout voltage is 170mV maximum at (VSENSE = 1.15V)
• IOUT current limit is 1130mA typical at VSENSE = 0V, TA = 25°C
• VBIAS undervoltage lockout is 2.2V typical
• Operating temperature range from -40°C to 125°C, 6-lead plastic DFN package
