ANALOG DEVICES LT3029HDE#PBF LDO Voltage Regulator, Adjustable, 1.8 to 20V in, 300mV Drop, 1.215 to 19.5V / 0.5A Out, DFN-16

LT3029HDE#PBF is a dual, micropower, low noise, low dropout linear regulator. This device operates either with a common input supply or independent input supplies for each channel, over an input voltage range of 1.8V to 20V. Each output supplies up to 500mA of output current with a typical dropout voltage of 300mV. Quiescent current is well controlled in dropout. With an external 10nF bypass capacitor, output noise is only 20µVRMS over a 10Hz to 100KHz bandwidth. Designed for use in battery-powered systems, the low 55µA quiescent current per channel makes it an ideal choice. In shutdown, quiescent current drops to less than 1µA. Shutdown control is independent for each channel, allowing for flexible power management. Applications include general purpose linear regulator, battery-powered systems, microprocessor core/logic supplies, post regulator for switching supplies, tracking/sequencing power supplies.

• Stable with 3.3µF minimum output capacitor, current limit with foldback and thermal shutdown
• Stable with ceramic, tantalum or aluminium electrolytic capacitors
• Reverse-battery and reverse output-to-input protection
• GND pin current (per channel) is 55µA typ at (ILOAD = 0mA)
• Quiescent current in shutdown (per channel) is 0.1µA max at (VIN = 6V, active-low VSHDN1 = 0V)
• Ripple rejection is 67dB typ at (VIN = 2.715V (avgas), VRIPPLE = 0.5VP-P, FRIPPLE = 120Hz)
• Current limit is 1.5A typ at (VIN = 7V, VOUT = 0V, TA = 25°C)
• Input reverse leakage current is 1mA max at (VIN = �20V, VOUT = 0V)
• Operating junction temperature range from -40°C to 150°C, 16-lead plastic DFN package
