ANALOG DEVICES LT1965IQ-2.5#PBF LDO Voltage Regulator, Fixed, 1.8 to 20V in, 310mV Drop, 2.5V / 1.1A Out, TO-263-5, -40 to 125 °C

LT1965IQ-2.5#PBF is an LT®1965 series, low noise and low dropout linear regulator. This device can supply 1.1A of output current with a typical dropout voltage of 310mV. Quiescent current is well controlled, without rising in dropout as observed with many other regulators. The LT1965 regulator offers very low output noise, making it ideal for sensitive RF and DSP supply applications. It remains stable with output capacitors as low as 10µF. Internal protection circuitry includes reverse-battery protection, current limiting with foldback, thermal limiting, and reverse-current protection. Applications include logic power supplies, post regulators for switching supplies, and low noise instrumentation.

• Input voltage range from 1.8V to 20V, no protection diodes needed
• Controlled quiescent current in dropout, stable with 10µF output capacitor
• Stable with ceramic or tantalum capacitors, reverse-battery protection
• No reverse current, current limit with foldback protection, thermal limiting
• Output voltage noise is 40µVRMS typ at (COUT = 10µF, ILOAD = 1.1A, BW = 10Hz to 100KHz)
• Quiescent current in shutdown is 0.01µA typical at (VIN = 6V, active-low VSHDN = 0V, TA = 25°C)
• Ripple rejection is 75dB typical at (VIN � VOUT = 1.5V (AVG), VRIPPLE = 0.5VP-P)
• Current limit is 2.4A typ at (VIN = 7V, VOUT = 0, TA = 25°C)
• 2.5V regulated output voltage at (VIN = 3V, ILOAD = 1mA, TA = 25°C)
• Operating junction temperature range from -40°C to 125°C, 5-lead plastic D2PAK package
