ANALOG DEVICES LT1170CT#06PBF DC-DC Switching Boost/Buck Regulator, Adjustable, 3 to 40V in, 40V / 5A Out, TO-220-5

LT1170CT#06PBF is a monolithic high-power switching regulator capable of operation in all standard switching configurations, including buck, boost, flyback, forward, inverting, and 'Cuk.' It features a high-current, high-efficiency switch integrated on the die, along with all oscillator, control, and protection circuitry, making it extremely easy to use and providing 'burst proof' operation similar to that obtained with 3-pin linear regulators. The LT1170 operates with supply voltages from 3V to 60V and draws only 6mA of quiescent current. It can deliver load power of up to 100W without the need for external power devices. By utilizing current-mode switching techniques, it provides excellent AC and DC load and line regulation. Applications for this regulator include supplying 5V at 10A for logic, generating ±15V op-amp supplies from 5V logic, battery up-conversion, power inversion (from positive to negative or negative to positive), and providing fully floating multiple outputs.
