Alpine Astronomical T2-28S Overview
Originally designed to adapt their Hyperion Universal Zoom Mark IV eyepiece to fit photographic T-2 accessories, the Alpine Astronomical Baader 2" SCT to T-2 Zero-Length Reducer Adapter can be used for a variety of applications beyond its initial use. The outside male threads match standard 2" Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope (SCT) visual back threads and the inside female threads are standard T-2 M42x0.75 size. With continuous threads, when it is installed on SCT backs and other 2" threaded accessories, the adapter can be set flush so while the thread size is converted there is no additional optical length added that will affect back focus distances. This adapter can also work as an expansion ring to convert a photographic T-thread into a male 2" SC thread.
