8Sinn 8-PS5 C Overview
The Cage for Panasonic S5 with Black Raven Top Handle combines a formfitting protective cage with a matching top handle that you can position in one of four directions. The Black Raven top handle mounts on top of the cage via the 3/8"-16 threaded mounting hole, and it has integrated pins that mate with the anti-twist divots around the 3/8"-16 hole. This provides a solid connection between handle and cage, preventing twisting when assembled. The pins and divots allow you to position the handle so it extends either behind the cage, in front of it, or to either side.
The cage features numerous 1/4"-20 threaded accessory mounting holes, and it protects your camera from the stress of attaching accessories. Along the top of the handle run eight 1/4"-20 threaded mounting holes, as well as a 3/8"-16 threaded mounting hole with ARRI-style anti-twist divots and a cold shoe. The front of the handle incorporates an additional 3/8"-16 threaded accessory mounting hole with ARRI-style anti-twist divots.
8Sinn Cage for Panasonic S5
Offering formfitting protection against the rigors of production while providing multiple accessory mounting points for your full-frame camera is the purpose of the 8SINN Cage for Panasonic S5. Your camera mounts onto this cage with a 1/4" hole, and the raised tabs at the front prevent it from twisting. The cage allows access to the camera's controls and hot shoe, and the base features a multitude of 1/4"-20 mounting holes, as well as a single 3/8"-16.
In addition to the multiple 1/4"-20 threaded holes distributed along the sides and top of the cage, the cage also sports a 3/8"-16 threaded hole with ARRI-style anti-twist divots on its top. Slots allow you to attach a camera strap, and you can use the included 2.5mm screw to secure your camera to the cage via your camera's eyelets and help prevent it from shifting. Threaded M4 mounting holes in front of the cage enable mounting optional accessories.
8Sinn Black Raven Top Handle
The Black Raven Top Handle from 8Sinn mounts on your 8Sinn or other-brand cage using a secure ARRI-style anti-twist mount. Handle features include tool-free adjustments, a modern design, and a lightweight yet durable aluminum build.
Multiple accessory mounting options include one cold shoe mount, two ARRI-style anti-twist 3/8"-16 threads, and multiple 1/4"-20 threads.
