ZWO ASI664MC Overview
Capture stunning, high-resolution planetary images with the ASI664MC USB 3.0 Color Astronomy Camera from ZWO. Equipped with a Sony IMX664 CMOS sensor, the camera achieves 4.1MP resolution with low read noise and no amp glow. It transmits data to your computer quickly thanks to the USB 3.0 interface and DDR3 256MB cache, with a frame rate as high as 95 fps when using 10-bit ADC.
4.1MP Sensor
The ASI664MC features a 7.8 x 4.5mm Sony sensor with a resolution of 2704 x 1536. The 2.9µ pixel accommodates a full well capacity of 36.5ke. The sensor boasts a quantum efficiency of 91%.
USB 3.0 & 512M DDR3 Memory
The ASI664MC is equipped with a USB 3.0 transmission interface and a built-in 512MB DDR3 cache to ensure stable and secure data transmission. Under long exposure, it effectively avoids frame dropping and greatly reduces the glow effect caused by slow reading speed.
High Conversion Gain Mode
HCG mode comes on automatically when gain is set to 252 and keeps readout noise as low as 1.0e, while maintaining a nearly 11-bit dynamic range.
No Amp Glow
Using zero-glow amp circuitry, the ASI664MC eliminates amp glow�a weak infrared light source often created by traditional CMOS sensors, sometimes seen in the corners of uncalibrated images. You won't have to worry about it, even during high-gain, long-exposure imaging.
Protective Window
A 1.1mm thick antireflective-coated protective window improves the camera's performance in UV and near-IR wavelengths.
