ZWO ASI662MC Overview
Capture stunning, high-resolution planetary images with the ASI662MC USB 3.0 Color Astronomy Camera from ZWO. Equipped with a Sony IMX662 CMOS sensor, the camera achieves 2.1MP resolution with low read noise and no amp glow. It transmits data to your computer quickly, thanks to the USB 3.0 interface and DDR3 256MB cache, with a frame rate as high as 107.6 fps. The camera's 38.2ke full well capacity allows for long exposures and helps avoid over-exposure issues.
2.1MP Sensor
The ASI662MC features a 5.6 x 3.1mm Sony sensor with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. The 2.9µ pixel accommodates a full well capacity of 38.2ke. The sensor boasts a quantum efficiency of 91%.
USB 3.0 & 512M DDR3 Memory
The ASI662MC is equipped with a USB 3.0 transmission interface and a built-in 256MB DDR3 cache to ensure stable and secure data transmission. Under long exposure, it effectively avoids frame dropping and greatly reduces the glow effect caused by slow reading speed.
High Conversion Gain Mode
HCG mode comes on automatically when the gain is set to 252, and it keeps readout noise as low as 1.0e while maintaining a 12-bit dynamic range.
No Amp Glow
Using zero-glow amp circuitry, the ASI662MC eliminates amp glow�a weak infrared light source often created by traditional CMOS sensors, sometimes seen in the corners of uncalibrated images. You won't have to worry about it, even during high-gain, long-exposure imaging.
