WyreStorm EX-40-KVM-5K Overview
Send and receive up to 5K HDMI video and KVM data using the 5K30 HDMI-over-HDBaseT 3.0 Extender Kit from WyreStorm with the included receiver and transmitter units. The transmitter unit features an HDMI input, USB-B host input, and HDBaseT output, while the receiver unit features an HDBaseT input, four USB-A outputs, and an HDMI output. Video signals up to 4K can be extended over 131' using a single Cat 6 or higher cable, and only one power supply is required as it supports Power-over-HDBaseT from RX to TX.
Up to 5K HDR Support
The kit transmits high-resolution video up to 5K30 (5120 x 2160) and 5120 x 1440p60 with full compatibility for 4K60 4:4:4 8-bit and all HDR formats, including HDR10, HLG, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+.
KVM Function
The extender system offers full-speed USB 2.0 passthrough with data rates up to 350 Mb/s. It features one USB-B host connector on the transmitter and four USB-A ports on the receiver, making it ideal for KVM applications with keyboard, mouse, touchscreen, or webcam integration.
Audio Features
The system supports numerous embedded HDMI 2.0 audio formats, including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, while also providing analog audio de-embedding on both the transmitter and receiver, as well as one-way analog audio passthrough from transmitter to receiver.
Remote Control
The devices integrate an RS-232 port with DIP switch configuration, allowing RS-232 control signal passthrough, firmware updates, and HDBaseT firmware upgrades.
