Compact with Minimal Setup

The VALOI easy120's design allows it to have a very small footprint, similar to a standard keyboard. Removing the included distance tubes allows it to fit easily in a drawer for storage between scanning sessions. No bulky copy stand or separate light source needed.

Quick and Easy-to-Use

The easy120's clamp-less, pull-through film holder design lets you capture a roll of film in under 2 minutes. The film holders' double S-curve ensures perfectly flat film, providing you with great quality images.

Built-In CineStill CS-LITE LED Light

The built-in CineStill CS-LITE LED light is very bright with a low heat output, and it has a 95+ CRI rating, ensuring color accuracy. It provides three preset color temperature modes: B&W, C4, and E6, which are optimized for scanning black and white negatives, color negatives, and slides. The CS-LITE is USB-powered and requires a 5V/1.6A power brick (typically a phone charger) with USB-A. Even a small/older one will power this unit.

Lens Compatibility

The easy120 is compatible with all system cameras (cameras with interchangeable lenses), including digital medium format cameras. While fixed-lens cameras are generally not recommended, acceptable results can be achieved with high-end fixed-lens models like the Leica Q3 (28 and 43mm) when scanning medium format.

The easy120 has two limitations on lens compatibility:

• When focusing on the film you want to scan, the distance from the front of the lens to the film must be smaller than 12.2". You can test this on your own; just place the format you want to scan on the table and try to focus on it, then measure the distance from the front of the lens to the film.
• The filter thread on the lens must be one of the following filter threads: 39, 46, 49, 52, 55, 58, 62, 67, 72, 77mm. The easy120 kit includes filter thread adapters in all these sizes. It is also compatible with 62mm filter threads, which is the native thread size of the VALOI easy35 Film Scanning Kit.

Maximum extension from filter ring: 315mm (this number includes distances not related to the distance tubes.)

Includes Tubes to Adjust Distance Between Film & Lens

The following tubes are included and can be used to adjust the distance between film and lens:

Approximate Compatible Focal Lengths

• Maximum focal length for APS-C sensor: 70mm
• Maximum focal length for FF sensor: 105mm
• Maximum focal length on MFT sensor: 50mm (60mm lenses can be used for scanning 35mm only)
• Maximum focal length for GFX/Hasselblad X sensor: 120mm

Using shorter focal length lenses has the benefit of making for a more compact scanning setup. This can be practical if you have a smaller desk or want to travel with your scanning setup.
