Take advantage of rugged, portable storage with the iron-gray 4TB StoreJet M3 Type-C External HDD from Transcend. Designed to provide ample storage for photos, video, documents, and more, this 4TB 2.5" HDD features a USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C interface for fast transfers. An auto-backup button allows you to instantly backup your work at the touch of a button via Transcend Elite software, available separately. Passing MIL-STD 810G drop tests, this drive features rugged anti-shock protection in the form of a silicone rubber case, internal shock-absorbing suspension damper, and reinforced hard casing. This drive supports AES encryption and comes with both a USB Type-C and Type-C to A cable. The StoreJet M3 is compatible with Windows 7 and later, MacOS X 10.7 and later, and Linux 2.6.31 and later.

USB 3.1 Gen 1 features a maximum throughput of 5 Gb/s and is synonymous with USB 3.2 Gen 1 and USB 3.0.

Anti-Shock Protection
The StoreJet 25M3C features a three-stage shock protection system that has passed MIL-STD-810G US military transit drop tests. The three-stage shock protection system includes a silicone rubber case, an internal shock-absorbing suspension damper, and a reinforced hard casing.
Supports USB Type-A and C
The StoreJet 25M3C comes with both a USB Type-C cable and a USB Type-C to Type-A cable to accommodate devices featuring the USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C or A interface. Having endured 10,000 plug-unplug tests, this hard drive offers durable protection for your files.
Save All You Want
With 4TB of storage space, the StoreJet 25M3C is well suited for saving high-quality photos and videos, or a large number of documents.
Auto Backup
The StoreJet 25M3C is equipped with a one touch auto backup button that instantly backs up your data with just one press. The button also enables you to reconnect the hard drive to your PC without the need to unplug and reinsert it. Please note, this feature requires Transcend Elite software.
Extreme Protection
Transcend's storage devices provide an exclusive disk lock and security functions. With Transcend Elite software, you can protect your entire drive and the files inside with passwords.
Transcend Elite
Transcend Elite is an advanced data management software package compatible with macOS, Windows OS, and Android. Available for both desktops and mobile devices, it is available as a free download from Transcend and Google Play. Transcend Elite features backup and restore, data encryption, cloud backup, and disk locking functions.
RecoveRx
Transcend also offers exclusive RecoveRx software, a free data recovery utility that allows you to search deep within a storage device for traces of erased files including digital photos, documents, music, and videos.

I have a number of Transcend storage devices, from a couple of 250 GB to two 2T and 2 4Ts. Great product. Drop it and it will still work.
Transcend is the only way to go.
