The Archer BE900 includes a 10G RJ45 port alongside one 10G RJ45/SFP+ combo port that allows you to use copper or fiber optic connections. Both can detect whether they're hooked up to a broadband modem.

There are also four 2.5G Ethernet ports available, two of which can be combined with link aggregation for 5 Gb/s connections to compatible high devices. Other connections include a Gigabit speed Ethernet port in addition to a USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port and one USB-A 2.0 port for storage drives and other devices.

With ability to display the weather, time, or emojis, the Archer BE900's LED display and touchscreen can add fun and function to whichever room the router is placed. The LEDs may be customized with over 3000 graphics while the touchscreen below it provides you with information at a glance and convenient access to the router's settings.

The Archer BE900 can sit at the heart of your wireless mesh network. A mesh network operates using a single network ID (SSID) and automatically hands devices off to the satellite module with the strongest signal. This provides you with a seamless connections as you move from room to room while watching videos or playing games. You can expand your coverage by using any TP-Link OneMesh compatible device as satellites.

While your wireless connection is protected by WPA3 encryption, the built-in TP-Link HomeShield features help to secure your network against online threats. Features include scanning your network for potential threats and enabling parental controls to set limits on online time and block inappropriate websites. Protect smart devices such as lights, cameras, and speakers better by setting up a dedicated Wi-Fi network.

When working from home, you can access remote VPN servers without having to install VPN software on every device. The Archer BE900 can operate both VPN and ordinary internet connections simultaneously. You have the option to upgrade to the premium HomeShield Pro services, which add DDoS attack prevention, advanced parental controls, and more.

Configure, manage, and monitor your network using the web-based interface or the TP-Link Tether App for iOS and Android. Once configured, you can issue voice commands to Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant devices to quickly perform tasks such as turning on the guest Wi-Fi login.
