Preset Selector

• Linear: This preset is recommended for all regular applications of the speaker.
• Boost: This preset creates a loudness equalization recommended for background music applications when the system plays at a low level.
• High-Pass: This presets activates a 60 Hz high-pass filter for the correct coupling of the NXW 44-A with subwoofers not provided with their own internal filter.

Power that Moves

The most powerful amplifier in its class. RCF continues to make improvements in transducer design to make them stronger and more powerful. With 2100W of power, the new NXW 2-channel Class-D amplifier is 50% more powerful than previous models. The speaker manages extreme sound-pressure levels with an ultrafast attack, realistic transient response, and very low power loss. RCF amplifier modules are energy-efficient, so there's no need for a cooling fan. The amplifier is attached to a solid aluminum heat exchanger to the rear of the cabinet, with no moving parts. The input circuit features a new low-distortion design with an advanced safety limiter, maintaining the true character of the input signal at all levels. All amplifiers are designed according to EN62368-1 for maximum safety and house a switched-mode power supply section with minimum weight.

Accurate Performance and Coverage

The advanced horn design accurately projects the sound energy and avoids unwanted reflections when placed on a sub or a speaker stand. Consequently, intelligibility is significantly increased in acoustically challenging environments. The speaker delivers an extended low-frequency range that is increased when paired with a subwoofer, for medium-size concerts and DJ sets.

Superior Transducers

• Lightweight and powerful, RCF drivers are a reference in high performance. All transducers are designed by RCF engineers in Italy for maximum reliability and perfectly matched components.
• The extended clarity of the 3" compression driver features a neodymium magnet for improved current handling and weight reduction. The best-in-class titanium dome and the Polyimide/Kapton voice coil handle extreme power levels with very low distortion.
• Three high-power 10" low-frequency woofers with a new advanced transducer design gain more stability over higher currents, with less distortion, fast transient response, and better heat dissipation.

Bass Motion Control

• When searching for an extended bass with enhanced performance, RCF engineers found a way to remove the high-pass filter, replacing it with a forward-thinking approach. Introducing BMC (Bass Motion Control), the newly advanced woofer excursion management feature. The speaker equipped with BMC can handle the lowest audible frequencies without affecting the woofer stability, with extended linearity and better sound integrity.
• The BMC method works by creating a complete map of the dynamic behavior of the woofer, to generate a custom algorithm that only limits overexcursions. This gives total freedom of signal reproduction to the transducer. When high-pass filters normally protect the woofer motion from becoming destructive but change the phase behavior, the new BMC algorithm breaks conventional rules.

New Perspective on Linearity

• RCF speakers are designed using a proprietary and advanced digital FiR technology, conceived to deliver transparent sound, absolute clarity, and perfect imaging to the listener.
• The special FiRPHASE filters allow for coherent distribution of sound for all listeners without phase distortions, ensuring minimum latencies in the system.

The sleek column design and flexible rigging options make it a smart choice for a wide range of sound applications. The rugged, high-quality Baltic birch plywood enclosure is easy to carry, with ergonomic handles on each side. It can be used alone, on a pole, or paired with a sub, and can also be flown or truss-mounted with included rigging points and special accessories. From the cabinet to the final texture, and the rugged protective grille, NXW 44-A offers maximum strength for intensive use on the road and can be used for fixed installation.
