Equipped with 48 covert IR LEDs, the VARIO2 Extreme High-Performance IR Illuminator from Raytec provides up to 820' of IR illumination to help night vision cameras produce clear images in even total darkness. The unit's interchangeable lens system with HRT is designed to deliver even illumination without causing overexposed white spots. Three lenses are included, a 10 x 10° circular, a 35 x 10°, and a 60 x 25° elliptical lens. Suitable for use in vandal-prone outdoor locations, the illuminator is housed in an IP67- and IK09-rated enclosure.
Extreme Durability in Challenging Conditions
The VARIO2 Extreme is suitable for use in harsh environmental and operating conditions. It is IP67 and IK09 rated for weather and vandal resistance. Additionally, it is designed to withstand extreme salinity, extreme humidity, and extreme vibration.
Wide Operating Temperature Range
With a wide operating temperature range of -58 to 167°F, the VARIO2 Extreme illuminator provides solid, industrial-grade performance in a variety of environments.
VARIO Interchangeable Lens System
The angle of illumination can be easily, quickly, and precisely adjusted by changing the VARIO holographic lens insert to match your camera's field of view.
Hot-Spot Reduction Technology (HRT)
Hot-Spot Reduction Technology (HRT) produces a highly diffused elliptical beam to deliver more light where it is needed, maximizing the illumination range and minimizing light wastage. HRT also prevents overexposure of foreground objects.
LED Status Indicator
The illuminator's LED status indicator provides quick operational feedback on status and performance.
Platinum Elite SMT LED Technology
The VARIO2 pairs Platinum Elite SMT LED technology with the Cool Running thermal management system for flexible and reliable performance.
Active LED Life Control
The integrated Advanced Cool Running system draws heat away from the LEDs, shielding them from abnormal stress and allowing them to deliver consistent performance throughout the illuminator's operational life.
