QNAP QDA-UMP4A Overview
Designed for select QNAP NAS enclosures, the M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD to 2.5" U.2 SSD Adapter from QNAP lets you install M.2 NVMe PCIe SSDs into a U.2 (SFF-8639) drive bay. It natively supports M.2 2280, 2260, 2242, and 2230 SSDs that use the PCIe 4.0 x4 bus, although it is backward compatible with PCIe 3.0 SSDs. This adapter allows for SSDs to be hot swapped and supports plug-and-play, meaning that no drivers are required for use.
To help ensure stable performance, a thermal pad and a heatsink are included. However, the heatsink only supports M.2 2280 and 2260 form factors. Also, please note that M.2 SSDs are sold separately.
- The QDA-UMP4A is supported by the TS-h987XU, TS-h973AX, and TS-h2490FU NAS series.
- Some NAS models do not support hot swap. Always check the hardware spec and compatibility list before purchasing drives and accessories.
Please note that the included heatsink only supports M.2 2280 and 2260 NVMe SSDs.
