Smart, User-friendly Camera Slider Portable Jib - Proaim 6ft Cambird Pro: 4-in-1 | Review+Test Shots
Designed to support a camera load of up to 22 lb vertically and 26 lb horizontally, the 6' Cambird Pro Camera Slider/Portable Mini Jib from Proaim can be used as a Video DSLR Camera Slider, Mini Jib, Tower, or Hi-Hat. It features a 6' slider with dolly and camera plate, a central fork with wedge plate, a weight rod, two height-adjustable crossbar feet, a crank handle, a jib arm, counterweights, and a wheeled carrying case.
The 6' long slider enables up to 5.25' of camera travel. You can control it manually via a removable hand crank. The included counterweights provide continuous balance and control by moving in the opposite direction of the camera.
The dolly features an integrated camera plate and 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting screws. A built-in, circular adjustment knob enables you to set your camera at various positions, and oil-filled ball bearings ensure smooth, silent camera travel on the 6' long rail.
The aluminum wedge plate mounts to a separately purchased 100mm tripod and to the bottom of the central fork. The wedge plate features rotatory knobs for switching between the Slider and Tower modes easily. The central fork helps to add stability, enabling jerk-free shots.
The height-adjustable crossbar feet provide stability on uneven ground in the Hi-Hat configuration. You can use the system as a mini jib by mounting the jib arm to the central fork.
Slider Mode
The Cambird Pro can be assembled quickly by one operator using a separately available 100mm tripod. In this mode, the system features a 360° horizontal rotation capability with an easy locking system. The counterbalance feature maintains a uniform pressure that ensures smooth camera movements throughout the full tracking length of 5.25'.
Mini Jib Mode
In the Mini Jib mode, the Cambird Pro operates 5.25' horizontally. You can tilt, pan, and move the camera 360° around the base tripod. By locking down the platform at one end of the rail and attaching a separately available parallelogram arm, it can quickly be turned into a mini jib arm. The maximum and minimum operating heights of the Mini Jib function are dependent on the height of your tripod.
Tower Mode
The Slider can be quickly transformed into a vertical 6' tower by lifting the wedge plate. As a tower, the slider is capable of 360° vertical rotation and has an easy locking system. The slider permits vertical camera movement through the full range of the 5.25' track. In this configuration, the Slider's counterbalancing feature ensures the precision camera moves are smooth and steady.
Hi-Hat Mode
The Slider can be used in a Hi-Hat configuration or as a tabletop camera support by being placed on a level or uneven surface with the two included crossbar-like feet. The counterbalance feature ensures steady movements throughout the 5.25' camera tracking length.
