Enter a new dimension of creative possibilities with the Polyend MESS, a multi-FX pedal with an innovative 16-step sequencer that lets you add generative motion to FX parameters, adjust rhythm and track length, and add randomization to the mix. With four independent FX tracks and 120 FX total, you have plenty of tools in the box, while 16 RGB sequencer pads allow for hands-on control.

Along with 16 sequencer pads, the MESS (multi-effect step sequencer) features four RGB pads for triggering the four independent FX tracks. Two-hundred presets are included, and up to 1000 custom presets can be stored. Effects and functions include modulation, reverb, delay, looping, bitcrushing, and spectralization, as well as EQ, filters, panning, automation, and dedicated pitch shifters for sequenced pitching. You can engage in per-step parameter sequencing for truly adventurous sound design, and you can also adjust step probability and create polyrhythms and polymeters. Everything can be viewed on the big color screen, and you have two pots, four push encoders, and three footswitches for further control. Connections include a USB-C for charging, MIDI, and data transfer; a stereo pair of 1/4" outputs, a single stereo 1/4" TRS input, an expression pedal input, 3.5mm TRS MIDI I/O, and a microSD-card slot. The MESS includes a 32GB microSD card to get you started.

MESS?s 16-step grid pad is a real-time sequencer and editor?with intuitive hands-on controlthat rewards experimentation without an advanced degree in sound design required. 4-Track Sequencing Power

Each track runs independently, with detailed control over parameters, time divisions, and length. Create slow spectral sweeps by slowing a sequencer down to 1/16th of the chosen tempo while increasing the speed of a microlooper for chaotic, glitchy stutters, all in the same patch. MESS has the tools to build-up textures or tear them apart.
