Originally designed for BANTAM patch cords, the Mogami W2893 Neglex Quad Miniature Superflexible Mic Cable has gained popularity wherever a compact, high-performance Quad mic cable is needed. It delivers exceptional audio quality and superior noise rejection, making it ideal for analog and digital recording, balanced equipment interconnects, and high-end unbalanced gear hookups.
The W2893 features four (Quad/twisted pairs) 26 AWG Neglex oxygen-free copper conductors, a served (spiral) bare copper shield, XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) insulation, and a superflexible PVC outer jacket. Its advanced construction provides excellent immunity to electromagnetic (EMI) and radio-frequency interference (RFI), improving signal-to-noise performance by 10 to 20 dB compared to conventional twisted-pair cables. This makes the W2893 particularly well-suited for home and project studios where grounding issues or wiring challenges may be present.
