Luminex LumiCore Overview
Manage your IP lighting schemes using a powerful processing engine in your studio, education, house-of-worship, live event, or theater environment with the
LumiCore 64 Network Processing Device from
Luminex. The LumiCode utilizes up to 64 process engines to merge universes to 64 inputs and outputs, and it supports merging modes over IP such as Crossfade, HTP, LTP, Backup, Switch, X-Fade, and even custom modes. Other features include VLAN network separation, two Gigabit Ethernet ports with distinct IPs, a built-in color display with jog control, web-based management, backup contact closure and playback triggers, and PoE support.

     Built-In Process Engines

This LumiCore model features 64 engines, allowing you to merge and route up to 64 input sources toward 64 newly defined universes. This design is a great solution to isolate your control setup for live events, theaters, cruise ships, houses of worship, education environments, or TV studios.

     Fully Networked Solution

LumiCore provides all the flexibility of the LumiNode but directly on the network, with input universes merged and routed towards output universes with extremely low latency. It can be operated with a built-in color display and control jog wheel for easy access to universe numbers, or configuration can also be done through a built-in web-based user interface.

     Merge Multiple Modes

LumiCore engine technology allows you to merge in HTP, LTP, Backup, Switch, Crossfade, or custom mode with different triggers that can be assigned on a per-channel basis. In large pixel-mapping applications, LumiCore is the ideal bridge to merge different control sources into new network streams.

     Separate Physical Networks

With its dual 1 Gigabit Ethernet split-interface (different IP addresses for each port) possibilities, LumiCore allows you to isolate your lighting rig LAN from the rest of your IT infrastructure. This allows you to monitor your control infrastructure from the IT department and to centralize show storage on the IT side while sharing these resources over several studios. LumiCore acts as a real bridge and can be deployed in a fully redundant way.

     Isolate Lighting Network Using VLAN

LumiCore features group (VLAN) technology derived from GigaCore and Araneo, which allows you to arrive at the device with an ISL (Trunk) connection and then connect the LumiCore to the lighting group and use the second Ethernet port for other purposes in another group (for example, video control, Dante audio, and more).

     Power Options

Each LumiCore unit has efficient and low power consumption and can be powered via PoE or via mains with a robust Neutrik powerCON True1 connector.

     Redundancy Features

LumiCore has automatic functional and operational redundancy and recovery to reliably cope with the most challenging lighting tasks. A show recording and playback mode lets you conveniently store lighting scenes and play them back when triggered. An external contact closure is built in to allow, for example, playback of a lighting scene in case of emergency.
