The Hot Shoe Cover for X1 and X2 Digital Cameras from Leica is a replacement hot shoe cover compatible with the Leica X1 and X2 digital cameras. The hot shoe cover slips into the hot shoe mount and protects its electronic contacts from the elements and from damage due to impact. To use an external flash unit or other optional accessory simply remove this hot shoe cover to expose the digital connection terminals. When no longer using a hot shoe accessory, reinsert the cover and maintain it in place to protect the hot shoe.
