The KIPON Focal Reducer Lens Adapter is a specialized optical adapter designed to mount Pentax 67 medium format lenses onto LPL-mount cine cameras, such as the ARRI ALEXA 65, BMCC 17K, and FUJIFILM GFX ETERNA. By incorporating a 0.8x focal reduction factor, this adapter effectively shortens the lens's focal length, broadening the field of view to closely match the original medium format perspective. Additionally, it increases light transmission, enhancing the lens's maximum aperture by one stop�for example, transforming an f/2.8 lens into an effective f/2.0�resulting in a shallower depth of field and improved low-light performance.

The adapter's optical system comprises three groups of five high-quality glass elements, arranged in a telecentric design to ensure that light enters the sensor as vertically as possible.
