Though it seems contradictory, the modifier offers soft light with a crisp edge and sharp falloff thanks to its depth.

The design features a reflective silver interior to maximize output and both inner and outer diffusion panels that can be removed, according to your contrast requirements. The DLX employs a bounce plate (sometimes called a deflector) that disperses the light into the modifier for a soft light quality and to eliminate the hot spot caused by direct light.
