Fantom eXtreme External SSD Overview
Small, portable, and designed for production-level creative professionals that require a high-quality storage device, the 2TB eXtreme Thunderbolt 3 External SSD from Fantom Drives is equipped with a storage capacity of 2TB, a 40 Gb/s Thunderbolt 3 interface, and PCIe 3.0 M.2 3D NAND. With read speeds of up to 2800 MB/s and write speeds of up to 2300 MB/s, this SSD can handle intensive bandwidth needs, including 6K and 8K video.
A high-quality aluminum build will help protect your data, while Thermal Dissipation Technology helps transfer heat exuding from the SSD to a thermal pad, which helps keep things running cool. Fantom Drives has preformatted the eXtreme for APFS so it is compatible with macOS 10.13 and later, but it may be reformatted for HFS+ for older versions of macOS, as well as NTFS for Windows 10. Power is provided using the included Thunderbolt 3 cable and protection is provided by a limited 5-year warranty.
Please note that the eXtreme Thunderbolt 3 SSD is only compatible with Thunderbolt 3 ports. It is not backward compatible with older host adapters.
